50 Pak Drones Successfully Neutralised By India

we have an official confirmation now. Not official though, but through defense sources. Last night when Pakistan made a failed attempt to send swarm drones all across various places along the line of control and international borders, over 50 drones were successfully neutralized during a large-scale counter drone operation conducted by Indian army air defense units in the areas of Udampur, Samba, Jammu, Akur, Nagota, Patanort. The engagement involved extensive use of L70 guns, Zoo 23M, Shilka systems, otheradvanced counter UAS equipment demonstrating the army's robust capability to counter aerial threats. And it's been a long night. 

We're getting in, you know, as the as the assessments are made. Mr. Dubet, 50 drones, 50 drones successfully utilized. That's a big number. None of them managed to hit the target. Actually, we have got a very strong system to counter these drones. Basically, Pakistanis were not aware of the fact because they must understand that the preparedness was going on and uh we we have read the mind of Pakistanis right from beginning. And the second issue is that the to defend the complete 192 km land borders I mean on the northern side of Punjab that is the Baharur post and above. So those areas have been very challenging right from beginning as you know in the past they have ventured drone driven all the nonsense since last 3 years. So tackling the drone and tackling the uh challenges posed by the drones uh for dropping the armamentation and narcotics uh in in these areas have been a practice from Pakistan side. So the counter drone measures army was well prepared there. 

Second second layer nakas the complete second layer defense from the BSF again reinforced by the Indian army from the depth and the plugging every gap in that particular area which is a sensitive area. So the complete infiltration route are passing through the Indian territory is completely blocked. Now if we talk about the drones there is already mechanism placed there. 

 I mean the equipment itself is so sophisticated and so effective that I don't think Pakistan will waste any furtheration I mean to venture inside the Indian territory it's approved since last 72 hours so uh to to to down these many numbers of drones before it can become effective in our territory is itself a lesson to Pakistan so our preparedness is complete and this is a very good battle trial very good ground trial of all these things. Oh, I don't think there could be any better opportunity to test and try every technology to teach the relation to the Pakistan misadventurism. 

 I I take it a very great success to the Indian armed forces. So, I have my colleague Shawan also joining us live from the Republic newsroom right now. He's he's got this detail firsthand after speaking to his sources. Shavan, we had different numbers coming in from different locations for the number of drones down, but now we have a number 50 drones just overnight. That is a big number.  take us through what you've picked up of the operation in the last 12 hours.

Well, in fact, now we have authentic information coming in and we can confirm that late last night, roughly around 8:00, a little after 8:00 in the evening when we were told that a swarm of drones were moving towards the line of control and the international border particularly hitting out at various cities in Jammu. Uh now we have a confirmation that about 50 drones carrying a payload were uh moving towards Jammu and a few other places. This is a confirmation now coming in from a highly placed sources.

They saying 50 drones were successfully neutralized during a large scale counter drone. Now as far as some of the affected areas are concerned last night Nanj if you remember the information that we had was apart from Dota almost every other part of Jammu was targeted uh we being told that it was Udhampur which happens to be uh the uh headquarters of the 16 corps and then you have Samba Jammu Aknur Nagota and Patanot areas. 

Naga too remember has a military base. Now the as far as the engagement from the Indian side uh we were told that not just the S400 but the L70 guns zoo 23 mm Shilka systems and other counter US uh equipment were basically used by the army to neutralize this threat that came in from the Pakistanis this morning too. 

Remember this was an information that we've had late last night that the agencies essentially were suspecting the intelligence agencies were essentially suspecting that the Pakistanis would once again send out another there could be a fresh wave of drone attacks from the Pakistani side. Many sources reporting did get us the confirmation earlier today uh that the Pakistanis did send out another wave of drones. We are just going to check with regards to what's the current situation like as far as the line of control and the international border are concerned. 

Both have been extremely active uh through the night. We haven't got an confirmation with regards to what's the situation like perhaps in a short while from now Nancha would be in a better position to confirm for our viewers uh what is the situation like on the ground. Sean be with me because uh a lot of speculative reports uh you know doing the rounds and we heard that a few Pakistani jets were down. Now we don't have a number to it. There is no official word on it but different news agencies also reporting that Pakistan jets were perhaps down. What do you know from your sources on that front? There's been a a lot of speculations that have been doing the rounds but let me just tell you from various sections that we've tried to get an information and a confirmation. 

First information came in that perhaps in Patan court there was a fighter jet of the Pakistanis that was brought down but the western command under which Patanort basically comes in uh they have denied. Uh in fact we've also checked with the paramilitary forces the border security force uh as well as the CRPF with regards to any information of a Pakistani pilot being in the custody that too there has a denial that has come in. But having said that, what is what has been a pattern like from all our sources that we have spoken to is the fact that there's been an ongoing operation and that is something that the forces have actually maintained through the day and it goes a little beyond than what has been spoken so far because they have been emphasizing on the fact that this time the operation is all about retribution.
